The important thing to remember is set a budget and stick to it, its all too easy to get carried away with wild ideas which is fine if there is no top on the budget otherwise try to keep things simple in design.

Before you can start any building work you will need planning permission from your local council. You need to contact your local council offices and ask for the Planning Department and ask them to send you a pack.
